Bridal named new Blue Devil Head Coach
Quincy Senior High School has announced that Ron Bridal will become the next Boys Soccer Coach for the Blue Devils. Ron replaces Matt Longo who retired this fall.
Ron is a 1995 graduate of Quincy High School where he was a standout keeper for the Blue Devils. Ron earned his Bachelor’s Degree in History from Western Illinois and his Masters Degree from William Woods. Ron is a Psychology teacher at Quincy Senior High School and has been teaching in the Quincy Public School District since 2004.
Ron is a long time assistant soccer coach with both the Blue Devil girls and boys soccer programs. Ron has served in a variety of assistant coaching roles during his 13 years of coaching within each program. That experience gives him a terrific concept of what a great program looks like from all player levels.
“Bridal’s knowledge of the sport, his experience as an assistant coach, and his familiarity with the Quincy program make him a clear choice for this job. That being said, his greatest attribute may be his ability to connect and lead the young people that he works with daily,” said Blue Devil Athletic Director Scott Douglas.
Coach Bridal and his wife, Jessica, live in Quincy with their two children.
